Hema books €15m loss in 2008

Department store group Hema booked a loss of €15m in 2008, due to interest payments on loans made by owner Lion Capital, news agency ANP reports.


Operating profit was higher at €91m, compared with €77m in 2007. In 2007, Hema lost €19m. Turnover rose 4% to €1.1bn, largely due to the opening of new shops.
