Family-owned brewing group Bavaria is to sell its soft drinks factory in Limburg to the European concern Refresco, saying it wants to focus on its core activities.

Some 85 people work for Bavaria’s Schiffers Food factory which makes soft drinks for various top brands as well as supermarkets’ own labels.
Set up in 2000, Refresco now has operations in 18 countries and a total workforce of 2,200. Headquartered in Dordrecht, it turned over nearly €1bn last year.
