Utrecht tops European economic growth survey
Utrecht has the best economic outlook of all West European cities with an expected annual growth of 3% for the coming four years, followed by Amsterdam (projected annual economic growth of 2.9%), according to a report published in Thursday’s Volkskrant.
The other two major Dutch cities Rotterdam and The Hague lag further behind with annual growth forecasts of 1.5%, says the report by research firm Ecorys.
Utrecht benefits from its central position and its thriving services sector, says Ecorys.
