KPN on target with Q2 figures

Telecoms group KPN booked sales of €3.66bn in the second quarter of 2008, up from €3bn in the year earlier period.

The increase was largely due to the takeover of IT company Getronics, news agency ANP reported.
KPN said growth in the internet and telephony combination, television and mobile telephony boosted earnings in the Netherlands.
German mobile phone arm E-Plus brought in 780,000 new subscribers, increasing sales by almost 10% to €808m.
CEO Ad Scheepbouwer said the company was on target to meet its financial targets.
