Police have arrested a 48 year old Turkish man in Tilburg on Friday on suspicion of financing terrorist activities, the public prosecution department said.

The arrest was requested by the French authorities and an order for his extradition has been received.
France has been investigating fundraisers for the Turkish Islamic organisation Kaplan which is believed to have links with Al Quaeda, the department says. The man arrested in Tilburg is suspected of receiving money from Kaplan.
Dutch police also searched three homes in connection wit the case and removed several items including computers, phones and ammunition.
