ChristenUnie furious at embryo selection plan
Deputy prime minister and leader of the orthodox Christian party ChristenUnie André Rouvoet is extremely unhappy about plans to allow embryo selection for a serious type of breast cancer, news agency ANP reports.
Junior health minister Jet Bussemaker said on Monday that she planned to allow checks on embryos to see if they carry the cancer gene. Sources told ANP that Rouvoet is furious and is demanding that the issue be discussed in the cabinet.
