The Russian captain of a Cyprus-registered ship has been arrested in connection with the sinking of a yacht close to IJmuiden on Wednesday night, the Telegraaf reports on Friday.

Four people had to be rescued by coastguard after it appeared to have been hit by a freight carrier. The captain told police he was not aware of hitting anything, the paper says.
