Robot hawk scares birds from airport
Schiphol airport is running trials with a robot hawk in an effort to scare birds away from its runways.
The ‘horck’ with a wingspan of just over a metre is powered by batteries and can fly at up to 70kph. Initial results are promising, an airport spokesman told the Telegraaf.
