Job centres find work for 52,000

The state-run job centres’ organisation UWV found work for 52,000 people last year.

Some 41,000 of those who found jobs had been unemployed for longer than six months, according to the UWV’s annual report.
This also shows that the number of people claiming unemployment benefit fell from 249,000 to 192,000 over the course of the year.
The number of people officially unable to work and claiming incapacity benefit (WIA or WAO) fell from 861,000 to 844,000 in 2007.
