Local police and justice departments in the southern province of Brabant are sponsoring research into domestic violence at Tilburg University, together with the women’s refuge organisation.

Criminologist Renée Römkens has been appointed as the professor for interpersonal violence and will research the cooperation between police and justice departments as well as the care of victims.
