Hoax programme The Great Donor Show and a confrontation between cabaret performer Hans Teeuwen and three young Muslim women known as the Meiden van Halal (the halal girls) were declared joint winners of tv moment of the year this weekend.

While the professional jury opted for the kidney donor competition hoax, the public voted for the spirited exchange of views about discrimination and decency between Teeuwen and the three women.
