Poor summer for hotel and catering sector

The Dutch hotel and catering industry booked a 2.7% increase in turnover between July and September despite a fall in sales volume, says national statistics office CBS.


The increase was due a 3.2% increase in prices. Sales volumes fell for the first time in over two years.
Hotels and restaurants booked better results than cafés, the CBS said.
