Four awards for ‘Tussenstand’ in ‘Dutch Oscars’

The big winner at this year’s Golden Calf awards, the Dutch Oscars, is the film Tussenstand (Half-time Score) by Mijke de Jong which won best direction, best actress (Elsie de Brauw) and best sound and also took the Dutch film critics prize. The film is about a separated couple and their difficult 17-year-old son.


Marcel Hensema won best actor for his role as Herman Brood’s manager in Wild Romance. Sylvia Hoeks was best supporting actress for Duska and the Flemish actor Jan Decleir best supporting actor for Wolfsbergen. Best film went to Kruistocht in Spijkerbroek (Crusade in Blue Jeans).
The best tv drama is De Prins en het Meisje (The Prince and the Girl) about the courtship of Prince Friso and Mabel. Stars Halina Reijn and Fedja van HuĂȘt were awarded the special jury prize. The two-part series begins on Nederland 2 on December 23.
