Bourse-listed Ajax losses mount
Amsterdam football club Ajax, the only Dutch club to have a stock exchange listing, posted a loss of €10.4m in the 2006-07 season, compared with a loss of €6.6m in the previous season.
Net turnover was down 12.8% at €64.9m, although ticket sales were up. The club blames its failure to qualify for the lucrative Champions League for the decline.
Ajax failed to qualify for both the Champions League and Uefa cup this year.
