Trainee specialists admit mistakes
More than half (54%) the country’s doctors who are training to become specialists admit to making serious mistakes when treating patients, according to a survey by Jelle Prins of Groningen University.
The 2,145 doctors who took part in the survey blame the mistakes on long working hours, pressure and a lack of proper supervision. The mistakes are ‘avoidable’ Prins told ANP news agency.
