Cooperative bank Rabobank is the biggest corporate sponsor in the country, shelling out €39m this year on sponsorship deals, according to Sponsor Magazine.

Rabobank counts cycling, hockey and equestrian sport among its main projects. The bank is also a ‘promoting partner’ of the Van Gogh Museum.
Second place on the sponsorship list is taken by brewer Heineken, which has a sponsorship budget of €21m. Unilever comes in third with spending of €16.5m, the magazine says.
In total, the 25 biggest sponsors are set to spend €222.3m on sponsoring this year, an increase of €14m on 2006.
