Eureko profit up

European cooperative insurance company Eureko said net profit rose 40% in 2006 to € 985m. Eureko, the parent company of Dutch insurers Achmea and Interpolis, said the bulk of the rise was due to the consolidation of Interpolis.


Excluding Interpolis, net profit was up 4%, the company said. Eureko is 37% owned by Dutch cooperative bank Rabobank.
