Animal party leader ‘damaging to image’
Marianne Thieme, leader of the pro-animal rights party PvdD and Nico Koffeman who hopes to be the PvdD’s senator should quit the party because they are members of the fundamentalist Seventh Day Adventist sect, says writer and party supporter Maarten ‘t Hart.
Such extreme beliefs are damaging to the party’s image, ‘t Hart said in a radio column.
Thieme recently said that eating meat was a sin and that Adam and Eve only began to eat it after their fall from grace.
