NedCar investment extends Colt
Mitsubishi is to invest several tens of millions of euros in its Born-based car maker NedCar for the production of the Colt, sources have told the FNV manufacturing union. NedCar was originally due to produce Colts until 2010, but the facelift will extend production to 2011 or 2012, ANP reported.
NedCar has a workforce of 1,350 – whose jobs appear to be guaranteed for longer, union spokesman Henk van Rees said.
