More Dutch are living in Germany

Cheaper houses and financial advantages are the main reasons a growing number of Dutch people live just over the border in Germany or Belgium, according to a report from the government’s spatial planning office today.

Last year 41,000 Dutch people were living in Germany, compared with 28,000 in 2001. Some 59,000 Dutch nationals live in Belgium.
