Wolters Kluwer ups earnings and sales
Publishing group Wolters Kluwer saw net profits rise 20% to €98m in the third quarter of this year. Turnover rose 7% to €920m. The sales growth was due largely to takeovers, particularly in the healthcare division.
Chairman Nancy McKinstry said sales would rise faster next year because the company would then reap the benefits of its three-year plan. It is still unclear if the company intends to sell its Educational Book Division. Wolters Kluwer said all options are still being looked at.
