Van der Moolen may halve US workforce
Trader Van der Moolen may have to fire about half of its US workforce because of changes in the Wall Street trading system which is reducing its trading floor, the Financieele Dagblad reported on Friday.
‘We will see the precise effect of the new trading system over the next two months, but it could be that we have to halve the workforce,’ Robert Fagenson, CEO of Van der Moolen USA told the paper.
